Its unassuming presence and reliable behavior make it a welcome addition for hobbyists who value a calm, active bottom-dweller that goes about its day with steady confidence.
Key benefits of CW045
- Peaceful, sociable temperament: CW045 thrives in community tanks and is happiest when kept with other calm, non-aggressive species.
- Bottom-dweller with a practical role: it patrols the substrate, helping to keep uneaten food and detritus in check while you focus on showcasing your display.
- Versatile in setup: whether you favor densely planted layouts or open aquascapes with contrast, CW045 blends in gracefully and adds a natural, dynamic touch.
- Reliable, low-maintenance presence: adaptable to common hobbyist setups and forgiving of routine care when kept in stable, well-balanced conditions.
- Collector-friendly appeal: as a distinct member of the CW045 lineage, it offers enthusiasts a recognizable, conversation-worthy addition to their collection.
Ideal tank setups and compatibility
This species is well-suited for planted and heavily decorated tanks where it can explore, hide, and forage among roots, driftwood, and low-level substrates. Its gentle personality makes it compatible with many small schooling fish, shrimps, and other peaceful inhabitants commonly kept in community aquariums. For best results, provide quiet, non-predatory tank mates and a benign, well-balanced environment that supports natural foraging behavior.
Feeding and daily care basics
CW045 accepts a varied diet of sinking foods, including specialty pellets and wafers, as well as occasional live or frozen options. Regular, small portion feedings aligned with its foraging patterns help maintain its health and energy for day-to-day activity. A stable routine and clean water conditions support steady activity and a calm demeanor that continues to delight observers.

- Authentic addition to any community tank with a recognizable CW045 lineage that enthusiasts seek out.
- Subtle, engaging presence that enhances aquascapes without overpowering other focal species.
