Hemirhamphodon Tengah (PO)
Description
Bring movement to the waterline with Hemirhamphodon Tengah, a livebearer that spends most of its time near the surface. Its distinctive top-water habits add activity at eye level, while planted aquarium growth gives it pathways to weave through.
Use tall stems and floating cover to create inviting upper-tank spaces and shade. Hemirhamphodon Tengah suits a planted display or community aquarium, where its surface activity makes a striking contrast to fish that spend more time elsewhere in the tank.
- Surface-dwelling behavior: Watch it explore and feed near the waterline, bringing a different perspective to your aquarium.
- At home among plants: Tall stems and floating cover provide upper-level pathways and shade.
- Enjoys company: This gregarious fish appreciates the company of others of its kind.
- Male displays: Males may compete over territory, and cramped conditions can lead to injuries; provide ample swimming space and an open surface area.
- Community-friendly: It is peaceful with other species, making it suited to mixed aquariums.
- Care routine: Regular maintenance, stable water conditions and a spacious environment support its well-being.
Give the surface room to stay open, and enjoy watching Hemirhamphodon Tengah move through the upper plants during feeding and exploration.
