HMPK Betta Splendens 'Spade' #T1004
Description
Add a vivid, graceful focal point to your freshwater aquarium with this Betta splendens ‘Spade’. Its flowing fins and distinctive 180-degree fan-shaped tail stand out in typical indoor lighting as it moves through the tank.
Place the aquarium somewhere you pass during the day, and enjoy a quiet moment watching your betta swim. A planted layout with a sheltered retreat gives it places to explore and rest.
- Room to swim: Use an aquarium of at least 5 gallons to give your betta space to move.
- Freshwater conditions: Keep conditioned water at 76–82°F (24–28°C) and pH 6.5–7.5; change 25% of the water each week.
- Gentle filtration: Choose a sponge or hang-on-back filter on low flow to help prevent fin compression.
- Sheltered setup: Add soft substrate, dense live or artificial plants, and a curved ceramic or PVC retreat in a back corner.
- Feeding routine: Offer premium pellets or flakes twice daily, with frozen brine shrimp once a week.
- Steady placement: Keep the aquarium away from direct airflow to maintain temperature swings below one degree per hour.
With those plants and a tucked-away retreat, the aquarium offers a layered setting for the Spade’s striking fins. Let it bring a calm point of interest to the room you pass through every day.
