HMPK Betta Splendens #T158
Description
Give your freshwater aquarium a graceful focal point with Betta splendens. Its flowing fins and half-moon tail open into a distinctive 180-degree fan, bringing movement and symmetry to the view in typical indoor lighting.
Place the aquarium along a route you pass often, so you can enjoy the display during the day. A planted layout with a sheltered retreat gives your betta places to swim and rest.
- Room to swim: Use an aquarium of at least 5 gallons and keep the water between 76–82°F (24–28°C).
- Freshwater care: Use conditioned water at pH 6.5–7.5 and change 25% weekly.
- Gentle filtration: Choose a sponge or hang-on-back filter on low flow to help prevent fin compression.
- Sheltered layout: Add soft substrate, dense live or artificial plants, and a curved ceramic or PVC retreat in a back corner.
- Feeding routine: Offer premium pellets or flakes twice daily, with frozen brine shrimp once a week.
- Steady placement: Keep the aquarium away from direct airflow to maintain temperature swings below one degree per hour.
Set the tank somewhere you naturally pause, and enjoy a quiet moment watching those distinctive fins move through the water.
